October 21, 2012 Marianne Gedigian, Professor of Flute Marianne Gedigian, Professor of Flute and holder of the Butler Professorship in Music at The University of Texas at Austin Butler School of Music, was a regular performer with the Boston Symphony Orchestra for over a decade, including several seasons as Acting Principal Flute under Seiji Ozawa. November 18, 2012 Karla Hamelin, Cellist A vibrant musician and innovative educator, cellist Karla Hamelin is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin with a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Cello Performance. January 20, 2013 Ava Pine Vocalist - 2011 Grammy Nominee Praised by audiences and critics alike for her “sheer vocal beauty, ease and eloquence” and “rewarding musicianship,” excels in music ranging from Baroque to Contemporary. February 17, 2013 San Antonio Brass, Inc. South Texas premier brass ensemble Comprised of some of the finest brass players in Texas, including the principal brass of the San Antonio Symphony, the San Antonio Brass has been South Texas's premier brass ensemble for over 25 years. March 17, 2013 Four Nations Ensemble Harpsichord, cello, violin, and flute. Four Nations distinguishes itself with imaginative and innovative programming, it is not unusual for the Ensemble to unite the music of Purcell and Schönberg, Haydn with French Canadian and Cajun fddling, François Couperin and Chinese Court Music. April 21, 2013 Nancy Zhou, Violinist Nancy Zhou attends Harvard University and New England Conservatory in Boston. Influenced in music by her father and teacher, Long Zhou. May 19, 2013 Emile Pandolfi, Concert Pianist Considered one of today’s top pianists with over 3 million CDs sold. Emile plays “luxurious arrangements” with an “ethereal quality”; that he plays in a “free-flowing, emotional manner that seems to go to the music’s very soul.” Concerts will be held at 3:00 p.m. Fredericksburg United Methodist Church 1800 N. The Fredericksburg Music Club originated in 1937 as a small study club in a private home and has now emerged into a music organization of international reputation. We hope that you will join us in ensuring that this 75 year old tradition continues. There is no charge for these concerts as all concerts are funded through grants, private and corporate donations, through mail or at the door. We are a 501(C) 3 organization so donations are tax deductible.
