Tomoki Sakata, Concert Pianist
Finalist in the 14th Van Cliburn Piano Competition
Japanese pianist Tomoki Sakata "demonstrated virtuosity, considerable color and expressivity" (Dallas Morning News) during the 2013 Cliburn Competition earning him a place among the top six finalists. The youngest competitor, he received attention for his "youthful overabundance of talent" that created "its own visceral excitement" (Theater Jones). In his 2013-14 season, Mr. Sakata will embark on tours in Europe, Japan, and Morocco. He has previously appeared in concert in Osaka, Tokyo, and Yokohama as well as in Geneva, Lugano, Paris, Prague, Utrecht, and Moscow for the twelfth International Festival "Musical Kremlin."

Mela Dailey
Soprano
As the winner of competitions sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs, Metropolitan Opera, New York University, Gerda Lissner Foundation, Downbeat Magazine, and Connecticut Opera Guild, Mela (mee-la) Dailey has command of both her instrument and the stage. She has received recognition in a wide variety of musical genres including opera, oratorio, art song, musical theater, vocal jazz, gospel, country, and popular music. Her professional debut took place in 2003 at Carnegie Hall with the Grammy nominated Conspirare Company of Voices directed by Craig Hella Johnson, a
group with whom she also recorded for the Harmonia Mundi label. Mela's solo CD
Shelter with cellist Scott Kluksdahl and pianist Rick Rowley is on the Pierian label
(internationally distributed by Naxos) and available through Amazon.com and iTunes. |

Texas Guitar Quartet
The Texas Guitar Quartet is Isaac Bustos, Jonathan Dotson, Alejandro Montiel and Joseph Williams II. As soloists, they have garnered acclaim on concert stages around the world and prizes in dozens of international guitar competitions. Together, they bring their unique passions and talents to an ensemble dedicated to presenting chamber music of the highest quality. Recent performances were presented by the New York City Classical Guitar Society, Victoria Bach Festival, Austin Classical Guitar Society, Guitar Houston, Texas Music Festival, Troubadour Series at Wofford College, University of Texas at Brownsville Guitar Ensemble Festival and Competition, and Austin Chamber Music.

For over thirty years, music lovers around the world have agreed with the Chicago Sun Times, “There is only one Doug Montgomery.” His unforgettable live performances and his numerous versatile recordings reveal the vast talent of this world-class musician and his repeat engagements at some of the country’s premier private and corporate events proves the appeal is surely the music but also the man himself. In fifth grade he walked through the doors of his first music class and entered a whole new world. Recalling, the experience, Doug claims he can still smell the ink on the copies containing the song the teacher passed out that day. |

Gli Unici
Tenors
The three tenors are from San Antonio Texas and all studied classically at major universities across the country. Their experiences in opera as well as musical theater and pop music make this group dynamic and one of a kind. Simply put they are Gli Unici. (The Only Ones)
In 2008 Donald Braswell auditioned for "America's Got Talent", out of 250,000 contestants Donald managed to make the Top 5 and was awarded the great privilege of being selected to perform at The MGM Garden Arena in the "America's Got Talent" Live Show in Las Vegas.
William Chapman, I could have never asked for a greater talent in my life than what God has bestowed upon me through the gift of singing. As I proceed in my musical studies it has been revealed to me that singing through a classically trained voice requires one to sing with heart, mind and soul.
Tenor Timothy Birt, was most recently praised by the Houston Chronicle for his depiction of Des Grieux in Manon.

The Apollo Chamber Players is a non-profit chamber music organization that explores the intersection of classical and folk music and provides exciting, innovative and culturally enriching programs to a wide audience. While illuminating the unique folk sounds and styles imbued in classical composers’ works, Apollo discovers and recreates lost, rarely heard, and culturally significant folk music through well-crafted arrangements and commissions for chamber ensembles. |
